MicroRNA target prediction (MiRTP) provides the possibilty to search for potential human and mouse microRNA target genes. For this purpose the results of several prediction tools can be combined. It is possible to choose a microRNA, select 1 or more tools, the number to be considered out of the selected tools, and the logical catenation.

For example if 4 tools are selected, the number of tools to be considered is 2, and the logical operation is "AND", than MiRTP will find microRNA targets predicted at least from 2 of the 4 selected tools.

Data were derived from public available lists of individual prediction tools for human and mouse:

For mouse additionally target prediction by seed matches (nucleotide 1-7, 1-8, 1-9, 2-7, 2-8, 2-9 in the mature microRNA sequences from MirBase) and between human and mouse conserved seed matches ( based on mm9/hg18 genome alignment) are provided.
